Frank A. Trujillo
Executive Director of Risk Management
Frank A. Trujillo has worked as a safety and risk professional in the construction industry for over 20 years. He has dedicated his career to improving construction industry safety and risk management performance through collaborative relationships with peer contractors, industry associations, regulators, and lawmakers. Frank provides strategic leadership for all risk management efforts, including Health and Safety, Quality Control, Insurance, and Construction Technology departments.
He was instrumental in the creation of the Maryland Strategic Partnership for Excellence in Construction Safety (SPECS) program between the Maryland Department of Labor and Maryland chapters of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) and the Virginia BUILT partnership program between the Virginia Department of Labor and Industry and ABC Virginia.
Frank received a Master of Science degree in Occupational Safety and Health from East Carolina University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business. He is also a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. His outreach efforts include serving as the Chairperson of the National Safety Committee for the Associated Builders and Contractors, Board of Trustees for the Construction Industry Alliance for Suicide Prevention, Executive Board Member of the Chesapeake Region Safety Council, Member of the Maryland Occupational Safety and Health Advisory Board, President of the Washington Metropolitan Construction Safety Association, and Chairperson of the Virginia BUILT Council.
