Sherry Kissal

Executive Director, Strategy & Acquisition
Sherry has more than 20 years of experience in the design and construction industry, beginning her career as a commercial Interior Designer and rising to lead an architecture team on the owner/operator side. She joined CWC in 2014 and became an equity partner in 2020, as part of a strategic business plan for the company’s future. At CWC, she collaborates with Precon, Operations, Marketing, & Business Development to source, direct, and evaluate new opportunities within the organization's strategic growth plans. As part of the company’s 5-year plan, Sherry established and is leading the Strategy & Acquisition department responsible for conducting extensive market research to assist in identifying potential new business markets, emerging trends, and insights.
Sherry has heavily promoted our mentorship program and has been a leader in bringing new talent to our organization. She founded the CWC Women’s Group – focused on professional development, peer connections, volunteering, and education – and leads CWC’s Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative (CSRI) focused on building leaders, building community, building a sustainable future, and building a best place to work.
Prior to joining CWC, she held notable positions with WashREIT, ColePrevost, Ai, and tp bennett. She is a LEED Green Associate and earned her National Council for Interior Design accreditation. She has served on and chaired multiple committees in our industry including CREW DC and CoreNet, and was named to the CREW DC Board of Directors in 2021. In this role, she acts as the CREW board liaison to the Membership Committee and serves on the DEI Board Council. She remains engaged with her alma mater, Marymount University, to mentor and promote the development of Interior Design students and currently serves as Chair of the Marymount Design Advisory Council.
