Director of Occupational Health & Safety
A fully qualified technical occupational health & safety professional with over a decade of experience in construction, Richard is a recognized leader among colleagues and dedicated to delivering strong EHS performance management, accountability, and training.
Richard earned his Bachelor of Business from the Waterford Institute of Technology in Ireland, then went on to earn certificates in both Leadership and Occupational Health & Safety before studying for his masters in Occupational Health, Safety & Environmental Management at Middlesex University in London. Other certifications include BCSP, Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST); OSHA 30, 500, 510; IOSH, Graduate Member; and many technical certifications (Procore, First Aid, CPR and AED, Scaffolding, Crane/Rigging, MEWP, Confined Space, Excavation & Trenching, Fall Protection, Silica Management, Accident Investigation, Fire and Emergency Coordination).
Prior to joining CWC in 2021, Richard most recently worked for Skanska (both in the US & the UK) for almost 10 years. He is an active member of the local Washington Metropolitan Area Construction Safety Association.
