We didn’t just renovate buildings for Altus Realty—we transformed them into future-ready hubs of innovation. This nearly 90,000 SF project, designed by Gensler, reimagined two office buildings into a cutting-edge environment with offices, labs, amenities, and lab-ready white box spaces. The result: a vibrant, multi-functional campus that redefines adaptive reuse and garnered industry acclaim.

UNDER CONSTRUCTION

The new building will occupy a naturally landscaped area of ATCC’s Manassas Campus, adjacent to the existing main building and repository. The site previously housed a single-story high containment building, which has now been demolished, along with a parking lot that served ATCC’s main building. As part of the new biomanufacturing facility, modifications to the existing parking lot will be made. The biomanufacturing facility will be a single-story structure housing all lab, administrative, and support functions. A steel frame structure will support an interstitial space above, dedicated to housing HVAC systems and utility distribution.

AWARD-WINNING LIFE SCIENCE FACILITY

CWC delivered this 260,000 SF LEED Silver biomanufacturing complex on a 20-acre campus for Kite Pharma, a Gilead Company. Designed by Ewing Cole, the facility includes a 200,000-square-foot manufacturing building, a 60,000 SF office building, and ample parking. The project earned multiple industry awards including NAIOP DC|MD’s Best Life Science Facility plus both ABC Metro Washington’s & ABC Chesapeake Shores’ Mega Project of the Year.
