The Potomac School's Spangler Center Opens
We celebrate the grand opening of The Potomac School's new athletic center, the Spangler Center with representatives from CannonDesign, Clark Construction and all of the generous donors. The Spangler Center is a 70,000 sf athletic building with two stories. It consists of four basketball courts, with one main feature court, and an indoor running track which circulates around the gym from the second floor.

Washington DC’s Edgewood Recreation Center Opens in Ward 5
DC Mayor Muriel Bowser cut the ribbon for Edgewood Recreation Center's Grand Opening Ceremony. This modernization project transformed the small, one-level field house into a multi-level, 16,000 sf, community hub with multi-generational programming and cultural activities in Ward 5 of Washington, DC.
CWC Women's Group Donates Handbags to Women in Need
November is all about giving back. KGO, Gensler Architects and Transwestern invited Coakley & Williams Construction to participate in a handbag drive from in support of Suited for Change.

Bancroft's Award-Winning Neighborhood-to-Nature Renovation
The owner of Bancroft Elementary School’s recent $65.8 renovation project, DC Department of General Services (DGS), selected Coakley & Williams Construction as the general contractor for this Design-Build modernization. The architects, Ayers Saint Gross, Jonathan Kuhn Architects and Fielding Nair International blueprinted the additional wings with the intention of nurturing the neighborhood-to-nature relationship.
Curing Cancer and Creating Jobs
The Coakley & Williams Construction team along with Kite Pharma recently celebrated the topping out of the Kite TCF05 Cell Therapy Manufacturing Facility and the monumental success of the safety on site. This new cancer research facility can be seen from the I-270 Maryland highway in Frederick County.

CWC Bikes to the Beach
Coakley & Williams Construction has a long and proud tradition of supporting Bike to the Beach. Bike to the Beach has gone from the early years of raising a few thousand dollars, to present day raising over $1.5 million annually for Autism Speaks and local autism non-profits.
