Lynn Stith Bennett Promoted to Executive Vice President
Coakley & Williams Construction, Inc. is pleased to announce the promotion of Lynn Stith Bennett to the Executive Vice President.
In her new role, Lynn will oversee three Corporate Divisions: Risk Management, Corporate Services, and the Executive Committee.
Risk Management encompasses Surety, Insurance, Risk Transfer, Emergency Management, Safety Strategy, Asset Management, and Loss Control. These are all crucial functions to the company and might be simply summarized as: Disaster Prevention. Corporate Services includes Marketing, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition and Development, and Information Technology. Under the Executive Committee, come Corporate Policy, Legal, Strategic Planning, Succession Planning, Corporate Leases, and the Compensation Committee.
Lynn is a known industry leader throughout Greater Washington. Among her leadership roles are President-Elect 2018 (President 2019), Commercial Real Estate Women DC (CREW DC) and Executive Board 2018 Associated Builders and Contractors of Metro Washington (Chair, 2021).
She is also the recipient of a number of prestigious industry awards, including the 2016 Corporate Leadership Award from CREW DC. Lynn has spoken on numerous panels for organizations such as Urban Land Institute, CREW DC, and ABC Metro Washington.
Lynn joined Coakley & Williams Construction in 1987 and has had a diverse and distinguished career here. Her previous leadership roles included operations, design management, and the areas already described above. Lynn embodies the community values that Coakley & Williams promotes and holds dear. She has served in many capacities in her Church, including serving on their Board of Trustees, has been a Leader in the Girl Scouts of America, National Capital Region, and has served as a volunteer for organizations including Rebuilding Together Montgomery County, Luke's Wings, and more.
