CWC Project Manager Wins Dale Carnegie Achievement Award
Congratulations, Baboucarr, for Winning the Dale Carnegie Achievement Award
Baboucarr Cham, Project Manager, started at Coakley & Williams Construction in 2003. He has helped build multiple projects in the DMV. Most recently, Long Bridge Park Aquatics & Fitness Center in Arlington, VA. In his recent training at Dale Carnegie, he was honored with the Achievement Award. “Baboucarr received the Highest Award for Achievement,” said Carla Doyle, Managing Partner at Dale Carnegie Training. “This award is presented to the person who achieved the most positive growth during the eight weeks of training. An accomplishment such as this reflects favorably on your entire organization. Here is a true indication of competitive spirit and determination.” We congratulate Baboucarr for this prestigious accomplishment!

We recently broke ground on Foxcroft School’s new Mars STEAM Wing, an 18,000 SF, two-story addition that will house new science labs, innovation and engineering labs, math rooms, and mechanical spaces.
We began 2024 by celebrating Bill Simons’ retirement. Bill joined CWC in 1996 and during his tenure, oversaw hundreds of projects and mentored countless employees.
As part of his involvement with the ACE Mentor Program of Annapolis, CWC Superintendent Ben Cozzi recently gave an Environmental Literacy class from Broadneck High School (Annapolis, MD) a tour of our Long Bridge Park Aquatics & Fitness Center project in Arlington, VA.
We are excited to announce that our Managing Principal & Chief Strategy Officer, Lynn Stith Bennett, has joined the Board of Directors for the JDRF Mid-Atlantic Chapter! JDRF is the world’s largest nonprofit funder of Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) research whose vision is to create a world without T1D.

We are pleased to recognize Project Manager Jonathan Fuentes with the CWC Founders Award. The CWC Founders Award honors employees who consistently exceed the day-to-day expectations and deliver exceptional performance on the job, amongst their peers, and in the community.
The CWC Founders Award was created to provide the name and physical recognition for those whom this award is bestowed upon yearly. This year, Senior Superintendent Jeff Gray was a recipient.
This October, the Blue Skye/CWC joint venture team, as well as design-build partner VMDO-DC, teamed up with Associated Builders and Contractors of Metro Washington & ABC Chesapeake Shores Chapter at our Truesdell Elementary School construction project to gear up for Careers in Construction Month.
The Madeira School recently held a ribbon cutting ceremony for their new STEAM Academic Center, a state-of-the-art interdisciplinary building that houses a Robotics Lab, Makers Space, and much more.
