McGowan Family Athletic Center
Vienna, VA

Size: 26,000 SF
Owner: Oakcrest School
Owner’s Rep: Advanced Project Management
Architect: DCS Design
This 26,000 SF two-story addition expanded the existing school campus with a vibrant athletic center that supports the school’s commitment to educating the whole person: mind, body, and spirit. The facility features a competition gymnasium with a floating wood floor system, retractable bleachers for over 230 spectators, locker rooms, a fully equipped fitness center, and five new classrooms.
Construction took place on an active campus, requiring tight logistics, phased coordination, and a deep respect for the daily rhythm of school life. Our team maintained clear and consistent communication with the Owner’s representative, design team, and school leadership to ensure that every milestone aligned with the academic calendar and community priorities.
From structural steel and complex MEP integrations to high-end interior finishes and athletic performance systems, every detail was delivered with precision and care, on time, on budget, and with minimal disruption.
