The Fairfax County Department of Planning and Development recently announced that The Potomac School’s Spangler Center for Community and Athletics won an Honor Award for institutional design excellence in the 2020 James M. Scott Exceptional Design Awards Program.

The Potomac School's Spangler Center Opens
We celebrate the grand opening of The Potomac School's new athletic center, the Spangler Center with representatives from CannonDesign, Clark Construction and all of the generous donors. The Spangler Center is a 70,000 sf athletic building with two stories. It consists of four basketball courts, with one main feature court, and an indoor running track which circulates around the gym from the second floor.

Marymount Students Tour Long Bridge Park Aquatics & Fitness Center
Design met construction when Marymount University Interior Design graduate students, alum and Vice President of Coakley Williams & Construction, Sherry Kissal, and Project Engineer, Andrew Moore, toured Long Bridge Park Aquatics & Fitness Center.
Bancroft's Award-Winning Neighborhood-to-Nature Renovation
The owner of Bancroft Elementary School’s recent $65.8 renovation project, DC Department of General Services (DGS), selected Coakley & Williams Construction as the general contractor for this Design-Build modernization. The architects, Ayers Saint Gross, Jonathan Kuhn Architects and Fielding Nair International blueprinted the additional wings with the intention of nurturing the neighborhood-to-nature relationship.

The "Diamondback Garage" innovation center is located on Baltimore Avenue, directly under the parking garage, and part of the $2 billion revitalization initiative to transform the Greater College Park campus.

St. Aloysius Roof Replacement
A severe storm with high winds ravaged North Capital Street in NW Washington DC in April 2017. Built in 1857, the roof of the historic St. Aloysius Church at Gonzaga College High School was no match for the high winds that swept though the area.
