Congratulations to Chris Harris, CWC’s Safety Manager, for being elected to Virginia’s Alexandria City School Board - District C. Chris is a 4th-generation Alexandrian, former coach, and parent to three graduates of Alexandria City High School (formerly T.C. Williams High School). He joined Coakley & Williams Construction in 2014 and has worked on many education construction projects over the years. He is a go-to expert on safety matters on-site and his knowledge is invaluable.
“Chris has a passion for helping people to grow and learn. He uses his coaching, mentoring, and training skills to support our staff, trade partners, and the wider construction industry through ABC’s STEP and Maryland SPECS safety groups. All of these attributes will make him an invaluable resource to the school board,” praised CWC Director of Safety, Richard Grant.

Chris shared his gratitude in a Facebook post following the election results, “It is my sincere honor and a privilege to be elected to serve a 3-year term in my hometown as a member of the Alexandria City School Board. You have my word and my commitment to always serve with open-mindedness, integrity, honesty, & transparency. To all that voted for me...Thank you! For those that did not...
