Paulist Fathers Breaks Ground in Washington DC

Paulist Fathers project team breaks ground.

The Paulist Fathers, along with Coakley & Williams Construction (CWC) and Capital Projects Management Firm, recently broke ground for the new Paulist House of Mission and Studies in Washington, DC. This new residence will be built on land where Paulists have practiced ministry for over a century. The building will serve as headquarters for the Paulist Evangelization Ministries and Landings International, both of which are organizations that seek to bring people from around the world closer to faith.

The ceremony was led by Fr. Eric Andrews, who currently serves as president of the Paulist Fathers. In attendance were a few members of the CWC team, who expressed their excitement and gratitude for being involved in the project: "It is a real privilege to bring to life your vision for your new residence and worship space,” said Senior Vice President Terrence Caulfield.

Building Details

The building will accommodate a house chapel, meeting rooms, office spaces, library and fitness center. It will also include individual bedrooms for Paulist seminarians, novices and priests in residence. Lastly, the first floor of the building will be home to a state-of-the-art media center that will be used for the production and distribution of digital media. This will allow Paulists to reach people from all around the world in creative ways. The construction of this building is timely, as the COVID-19 pandemic has proven the importance of virtual communication.
