Award-Winning Metals at Long Bridge Park Aquatics and Fitness Center
Celebrating a big win!
Coakley & Williams Construction (CWC) nominated our trusted subcontractor, Alliance Exterior Construction, for the 2021 Washington Building Congress (WBC) Craftsmanship Awards for their excellent work on the Long Bridge Park Aquatics & Fitness Center project. The Long Bridge Park Aquatics & Fitness Center is a 92,513 sf one story aquatic and recreation facility in Arlington County directly adjacent to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.
We are so proud to announce that Alliance Exterior Construction was selected as a Craftsmanship award winner in the Metals category! WBC Craftsmanship Awards is the only regional program recognizing the outstanding skills and achievements of individual craftsmen in our commercial construction community.
Exceptional Craftsmanship
Designed by Page, the goal for this Arlington County building form is that it accentuates the gentle origami folds of the park with clean folded lines of the roof visible from I-395 and the air. The intent was on the aesthetics from a metal exterior, while also meeting stringent energy efficiency requirements and accounting for the unique interior challenges that an aquatic environment presents. To achieve this, Alliance Exterior Construction demonstrated exceptional craftsmanship and worked with the Long Bridge Park Aquatics & Fitness Center project team seamlessly. They came armed with knowledge and innovative solutions to bring the client and architects’ vision to life.
