Coakley & Williams Construction was awarded the University of Maryland Spec Suite project under an IDIQ contract. The "Diamondback Garage" innovation center is located on Baltimore Avenue, directly under the parking garage, and is part of the $2 billion revitalization initiative to transform the Greater College Park campus. The new glassed-in, high-tech workspaces include the tenants Do Good Accelerator, a creative space that provides training and development for nonprofits and socially-minded businesses, and Immuta, a start-up private-sector data management firm founded by UMD undergraduate students and former U.S. intelligence analysts.

The collaborative suites include a reception with millwork, a central lounge area, a kitchen, operable partitions, a conference room, and cloud ceilings with slatted wood trim. The space has vibrant and thought-provoking art murals on the walls, further inspiring the students to innovate and strengthen their entrepreneurial ecosystem.
