The renovation and modernization of the Sheraton Tysons Hotel, formerly Sheraton Premiere at Tysons Corner, transformed the public and amenity spaces of the fully occupied hotel while maintaining continuous operations throughout construction. The 91,427 SF project included comprehensive interior renovations and MEP upgrades to the lobby, elevators, corridors, restrooms, restaurant, ballrooms, conference rooms, lounge and bar, pool area, and fitness center.
A significant component of the work involved structurally infilling an existing atrium to create a new premium event and meeting space. Preconstruction and construction services were coordinated with JBG as part of its acquisition and property improvement program, including compliance with Starwood’s Property Improvement Plan. Careful phasing, communication, and coordination allowed the extensive improvements to proceed while minimizing disruption to hotel guests, events, and daily operations.
