Architect: Gensler
Location: Washington, DC
Size: 20,000 SF
This project involved the interior renovation of approximately 20,000 SF on the 8th floor of a multi-tenant office building at 600 13th Street NW in Washington, DC, creating a modern headquarters environment for a global real estate firm. The scope included selective demolition and a full interior build out featuring private offices, open work areas, conference and team rooms, focus rooms, a café and catering pantry, reception, mother’s room, IT and support spaces.
The work required extensive coordination of architectural finishes, demountable glass office fronts, custom millwork, and integrated AV, security, and IT infrastructure. Construction also included new mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and life safety systems, along with ceiling upgrades ranging from coffered and decorative ceilings to exposed structure with acoustic treatment. The project was delivered within an occupied building, requiring close coordination with property management, landlord requirements, and adjacent tenants to maintain building operations and minimize disruption.
