The Fay and Ballard Houses Renovation restored two historic campus buildings to their original purpose as student residences while preserving the architectural character that has defined them for more than a century. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the buildings underwent a comprehensive renovation that balanced historic preservation with modern student living. The project included complete MEP system upgrades, accessibility improvements, interior reconfiguration, and the creation of welcoming residential and community spaces designed to support campus life. Through thoughtful planning and careful execution, CWC transformed these landmark structures into modern residence halls that honor Gallaudet University's history while serving the needs of future generations.
