Senior Preconstruction Manager Alex Schwartz wins 2025 Founders Award
Alex was recognized with a 2025 Founders Award, the highest level of recognition at CWC
Celebrating the Best at CWC
At Coakley & Williams Construction, the Founder’s Award is one of our highest honors. It recognizes more than results — it celebrates consistency, character, and the kind of impact that shapes our culture for the better. This year, that distinction belongs to someone who embodies all of that and more: Alex Phifer Schwartz.
Alex is the kind of professional whose name comes up often — and always for the right reasons. In client meetings, internal collaborations, and mentoring conversations alike, one thing is clear: when Alex is involved, everything runs smoother. As one colleague put it best, “Everything they touch turns to gold.”
While we were building Foxcroft School’s new Mars Steam Building, Alex took time to teach their students about construction
Embodying Trust & Teamwork
What sets Alex apart is not just talent, but trust. She has a rare ability to quietly become essential — not by demanding attention, but by earning confidence through preparation, follow-through, and genuine care. Detail-oriented, organized, and deeply client-focused, Alex builds strong relationships with clients, trade partners, and teammates alike. One teammate described Alex as a true “trust stacker” — someone who builds credibility layer by layer and then delivers, every single time.
The results speak for themselves. Over the past four years, Alex has secured and led $200 million in work, spanning 24 projects for 16 different clients. Time and again, those trusted relationships have turned into successful partnerships and repeat business.
Yet, as impressive as the numbers are, Alex’s presence at CWC is even more impactful. She is always willing to help, always ready to support a teammate, and especially committed to mentoring newer team members. Alex consistently steps in to guide, teach, and encourage — making sure others are set up for success.
One colleague captured it perfectly:
“She is a true role model of teamwork. They put others before themself and embody the core values of Coakley & Williams. The organization simply would not be the same without them.”
A Social Architect
Alex is a leader, teacher, mentor, collaborator, and — as one person fittingly described — a social architect, designing meaningful connections wherever she goes. From a recent well-deserved promotion to countless shout-outs along the way, recognition has been steadily catching up with the impact Alex has made since day one.
This year, we made it official.
Please join us in congratulating Alex Phifer Schwartz, the recipient of CWC’s 2025 Founder’s Award. We are incredibly proud, grateful, and excited for all that lies ahead.
