Baboucarr Cham Elected Founders Award Winner by His Peers
We are pleased to recognize a teammate who exemplifies our corporate values of service, mentorship, commitment, success, and trust, just to name a few. Baboucarr Cham came to Coakley & Williams Construction (CWC) as an intern 20 years ago, joining us full time as a Project Engineer upon graduation. He progressed as an Assistant Project Manager, then Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, and is now a Project Executive.

Life-Long Learning in Construction
A believer in life-long learning, Baboucarr followed up his Bachelor’s degree with a Master’s in Construction Management from Catholic University of America, and in 2020, an Master’s in Business Administration from St. Mary’s College of Maryland. Baboucarr counts among his projects: Duvall Courthouse, 21 Church Street, The Collection, and most recently, Long Bridge Park Aquatic & Fitness Center. Baboucarr is active in industry associations, participating in ABC Metro Washington, DCBIA, and FRPA as a committee member and chair.
Preparing to Lead CWC’s Public Sector
Baboucarr Cham is preparing to lead our public sector department. With projects like Park Place at Addison, Carl F. West Estates, Truesdell Elementary School, and Maintenance Supply Facility, Baboucarr is poised to take leadership of a Business Unit with hundreds of millions of dollars in backlog, and we trust that he will be successful.
