Location: College Park, MD
Size: 11,500 SF

The University of Maryland Diamondback Innovation Center was established to foster entrepreneurship, collaboration, and technology commercialization within one of the nation's leading research universities. As part of the university's broader innovation initiative, Coakley & Williams Construction completed the design-build interior fit-out of multiple collaborative workspaces that support startup companies, nonprofit organizations, and entrepreneurial programs.

The project created flexible, high-performance environments for the Do Good Accelerator and Immuta, including open collaboration areas, conference space, custom millwork, operable partitions, cloud ceilings with wood accents, and vibrant murals that inspire creativity and innovation. Designed to encourage collaboration and the exchange of ideas, the completed spaces help advance the university's mission of connecting research, education, and industry.
