The Prince George’s County Special Operations Headquarters is a new 44,788-square-foot, ground-up construction located within the County's larger campus in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. This facility will serve as the administrative hub for the County’s Emergency Services Team, K-9 Trainers, Crash Team, Tactical Unit, and other Special Services departments. A large, attached garage will house most of the Special Operations emergency vehicles and will include an onsite repair service bay. The building is designed to achieve LEED BD+C v4 Silver certification, featuring sustainable elements such as a solar-paneled roof, bioretention ponds, electric vehicle charging stations, and low-flow plumbing fixtures.
