CWC Women Empower Young Women at First Ever Camp NAWIC
Coakley & Williams Construction (CWC), NAWIC (National Association of Women in Construction) members, and CWC interns volunteered at the first-ever Camp NAWIC in collaboration with ABC Greater Washington at Thomas Edison High School of Technology in Silver Spring, MD. Camp NAWIC has a mission to expose young women to the possibilities of a future in construction. The CWC team introduced high school girls to the preconstruction process and assisted them with a mock bid day activity. It's always exciting to share the passion for construction with potential future leaders of the industry, and show them how much more lies beyond the classroom.
The team gave a presentation to the campers on the preconstruction process and the different projects CWC has built.
