Atelier Apartments Approach Completion on WMATA Red Line

In 2019, Coakley & Williams Construction (CWC) announced it was building new apartments on WMATA Metro Station’s red line at Glenmont in Silver Spring, Maryland. CWC is providing general contracting services on the project and is partnered with Owners, Buchanan Partners, and architects, Dwell Design Studio.

Long Overdue

The HUD-financed Atelier Apartments project will bring 254 new apartment units to Montgomery County. An article by Patch says, “Atelier is the first new multifamily construction in Glenmont in decades.”

Leading the CWC Atelier Apartment project, Mike O’Quinn, breaks dawn at the pre-cast parking garage in early July 2019.

The project consists of four wood-framed apartment buildings with a 112,000 sf pre-cast parking garage. The apartment amenity features will include a resort-style swimming pool, clubroom, two courtyards with an outdoor movie screen, rooftop deck, fitness center, business center, conference room, pet spa and dog park.
