New Supernus Pharmaceuticals Headquarters and Laboratories

Supernus Pharmaceutical’s new headquarters is located at 9715 Key West Avenue in Rockville, Maryland. They develop and market proprietary drugs for the treatment of central nervous system diseases and disorders. At this particular location, they manufacture the following three leading prescriptions:
Trokendi XR for migraine prevention
Oxtellar XR for onset seizures
Development of their newest drug is a non-stimulant ADHD medication. This is innovative because physicians can now provide a prescription for ADHD without controlled substances being involved.

Coakley & Williams Construction (CWC) was awarded the interior construction of the 120,000 sf laboratory and office space as the general contractor. We worked with DNC Architects on the design and with CFR Engineering for MEP coordination.

The Supernus Pharmaceuticals headquarters was built in two phases so office personnel could move into the space prior to the laboratory personnel. The first phase began in late April 2019 and was substantially completed in January 2020.
