ABC Metro Washington Series: The Subcontractor's Guide to Capturing Projects
Our partnership with Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) can be traced back to the organization's founding in 1958. One of Coakley & Williams Construction's founding partners, Neil Coakley, was a founding member of ABC Metro Washington. We are a proud sponsor of the chapter and our employees are actively involved at all levels of the industry organization. ABC's active events calendar provides our employees with the opportunity to network and refine skills in areas that are crucial for proper development within the construction industry.
At Coakley & Williams Construction, one of our goals is to build long-term relationships with subcontractors and suppliers that align with our vision, purpose and values. Awarding subcontractors is an integral part of the building process that encompasses a rigorous evaluation method. Our subcontractor prequalification process ensures that we have the best team working on each project.
Due to the tremendous impact and results that ABC branded events have yielded for our employees, we encourage subcontractors to attend their upcoming educational series, The Subcontractor's Guide to Capturing Projects. Geared towards subcontractors, the series will focus on providing the tools for subs to consistently win profitable business.
This four-part series will provide a set of strategies and techniques for supporting transformative growth. Open to both members and non-members, subcontractors can choose to attend one, two, three or all four morning sessions.
3/22: Session One: Cultivating your Relationships
4/26: Sessions Two: Demonstrate Value without Being Low
5/24: Session Three: Negotiation and Capturing the Project
6/28: Session Four: Setting up the Relationship for Long Term Success
Session descriptions and registration information can be found on ABC's website.
